We would like to extend a very warm welcome to new and returning families to the International School of Myanmar (ISM) and we hope that you and your family enjoy being part of ISM Elementary School.
Our students are the heart of our school and purpose. Everything we do at ISM is guided by our school’s mission and vision and we all work hard to keep the mission at the forefront of our thinking when working with students. In choosing ISM, you are supporting this mission as well. Like all communities, our elementary school is more successful when all participants work together to support each other and the common good. Everyone’s attitude and commitment to our school will make a difference. Our overseas teachers, who have taught at many international schools around the world, constantly rave about how hard-working, enthusiastic, respectful, and curious our students are each day. Using American-based national educational standards and clear grade level learning outcomes, we make sure that our students are making successful growth each year. Their academic development is further enriched by having specialized instruction in Music, Visual Arts, Technology, and Physical Education. They also participate in Myanmar Studies to further develop their native language skills. To further support our students, we have a school counselor, an ESOL department, and Health Services.
By working together collaboratively, we can help all our students in having a wonderful year of personal, social, and academic growth and achievement. We look forward to building a partnership with all our families to create a successful year of learning for your child.
